Malcolm D. Lee is an award-winning writer, director and producer of film and television.  Lee has directed 11 feature films including his critically acclaimed feature film directorial debut The Best Man, as well as other cultural and box office hits including Undercover BrotherBarbershop: The Next CutThe Best Man Holiday, Night School, Girls Trip, and Space Jam: A New Legacy to name a few.   In 2022, Lee co-wrote and directed Peacock’s award-winning.  The Best Man: The Final Chapters, an eight-part series finale to Lee’s iconic The Best Man franchise.  Through his Blackmaled Productions, Lee works to amplify voices of other creators of color with a robust slate of projects in active development including Kennedy Ryan’s Before I Let Go (Universal TV), a Boyz 2 Men musical Brotherly (Amazon), hip hop comedy Real Talk (Universal Pictures), Terry McMillian’s I Almost Forgot About You (Universal), and an Untitled Ludacris Comedy (BET+).
