Sasha Alpert


Sasha Alpert is the Executive Vice President of Bunim/Murray Productions and their documentary division, BMP Films, which Alpert founded in 2006. Her most recent film is “They Call Us Monsters” which is being distributed by The Orchard and will have its television premiere on Independent Lens. 

BMP’s first film, “Autism: The Musical,” won two prime-time Emmys including “Best Non-Fiction Special.” The film initially premiered on HBO. Alpert also produced “Valentine Road” which premiered in the 2013 Sundance competition and went on to air on HBO where it was nominated for two Emmy’s. She also produced “Shadow Billionaire,” the story of DHL shipping company founder and tycoon Larry Hillblom, which premiered on CNBC. 

Additionally, Alpert produced “Forever Hollywood,” a film about the history of Hollywood which has been playing continuously at the American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles for 13 years. Alpert has also produced and directed for PBS, CBS, MTV, TBS and The Disney Channel.
