Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Roger Ebert’s Film Festival!
As a not-for-profit organization, the festival has always depended on the generosity of volunteers. We are grateful for your many contributions and know that we could not present this wonderful event without you!
Virginia Theatre Volunteer Opportunity:
Volunteers at The Virginia Theatre are needed to do many vital tasks around the Theatre including taking tickets, guiding patrons to their seats, helping guide the lines, and sales of merchandise. All volunteers receive a Virginia Theatre T-Shirt and the chance to see an Ebertfest movie.
All Virginia Theatre Volunteers must attend one orientation session prior to Ebertfest. Dates and times for 2025 orientation sessions will be listed here as soon as they are available.
Email Jeff Headley, jeff.headley@champaignparks.org, with any questions regarding Virginia Theatre orientation sessions.
Volunteer Host Opportunity:
Hosts are needed to transport Festival Guests between Willard Airport and Hyatt Place Champaign/Urbana, as well as any other necessary trips in town. Occasionally, Hosts are called upon for longer trips, for instance, transportation to an out-of-town airport such as Bloomington, Peoria, or Chicago. Hosts are required to have their own vehicle, have flexibility to work around changes in travel schedules, and to attend an orientation session prior to the festival. Depending on the number of Hosts available, each Host may be assigned to one or more Festival Guest. Orientation session date/time TBD.
Email Molly Cornyn, ebertfest@illinois.edu, with any questions regarding Hosting.
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to seeing you at Ebertfest!
